Our ancestors knew more about the importance of certain times.

They celebrated festivals and honoured that the ancestors, the gods and the nature of the fairy world. Many of the pagan seasonal festivals came over into the new era, others were forgotten In order to understand the world of fairies, it may be quite good to remember to bring back the old parties /festivals. These are the ones that our fairies still use.

21. Yule December

This is the day of the winter solstice. The Yule begins with the longest night of the year on 21 December and lasts for twelve nights. These nights are for the twelve months of the following year. The Yule is the celebration of the rebirth of the sun. The element fire wins from now ,The sun is old and dying. And it will be reborn.

From the Yuletide developed the Christian Christmas.

Imbolc – new moon after the twelve nights of Yule

Imbolc is the festival of light. The light is a symbol for the forces of fire and light, with the earth forces unite and bring fertility. Before it gets dark, a feast is held, while accepting the table for the spirits and ancestors they eat plenty.

In Christianity was the way to Candle mas, which the Catholics on 2nd February celebrate.

Ostara – March 21

On that date night is day and the same length. This festival was in honour of the goddess Astarte the earth goddess of the fresh, green earth, of love and fertility. In Christianity developed from the pagan Easter, the feast of the resurrection of Christ.

Beltane / Night – May 1

The pagan festival of the summer beginning. It symbolizes the beginning of the cycle of life and death. On this day united as women with the four elements of earth, water, air and fire. Today, still recalls the popular custom of setting up a maypole in this old festival.

Summer solstice – June 21

The longest day of the year. This day is celebrated the culmination of the life force – the same time makes the festival but also the transience aware. At the summer solstice fire, the refreshing nature of the spirits invoked and venerated. This festival survived in Christianity with the custom of bonfires on the day of St John the Baptist (June 24 fire) At Druid courses, or summer solstice at Stonehenge, etc. Today, the ancient Celtic rites again committed to.

Mabon – September 21

The equinox in the fall. This festival is one of the oldest celebrations of humanity and has always been a thanksgiving to the nature spirits of the earth to harvest to thank. Formerly, on this day many peace offerings are given in the form of fruits and products Agriculture o. Since the Middle Ages, Thanksgiving is the monastic estates in the Christian bears witness to. The churches with the AITA and sheaves of corn, fruits and flowers to decorate

Samhain – October 31

The pagan festival of the winter beginning. The time of the winter night celebration dies nature, to become born again. Therefore, the people honoured on this day the spirits of the earth, the dark spirits and ancestors.

Whether you want to call on the fairies to reveal themselves,or to work one of the fairy spells in the book, (Fairy Spells by Claire Nahmad) you will need the hours of the angels so that you can invoke the help of the ruling angel not only of the hour, but the day you have chosen.

Fairy Oil

There is an old spell which gives directions for making a Fairy Oil that will enable one to look into the magical fairy worlds. This oil is to be made up in spring and left to settle so that it can be put to use on the Fairy Days.

Sweet herbs and summer flowers have many potencies, and it is good to use these; but they cannot do all the work for you; you must prepare your own soul so that you may see fairies; and this means loving them and their world of nature, loving the Great Heart which holds us all, and seeking them in their haunts at the right time and in the right way. offering humility and listening to inner guidance, may you see the fairies, and if you prepare the oil, prepare it with a charm of your own at the hours of Sachiel (midnight to one o’clock), and let your charm be a prayer to the God of meadows and forests, and the Great God and Goddess of All, that you may enter the fairy realm without harm, that the fairies may come to know and love you, and that you may know and love them.

Here is the word cunning to be followed in preparing the Fairy Oil: pour a tankard of corn oil into a green glass jar, and bless it with charms. Gather eglantine, the leaves of the briar, the buds of the hollyhock, the flowers of wild thyme (the young ripening tops of the fragrant wild grass), the shooting buds of young hazel, yarrow flowers, meadow-sweet and rue, and the sweet grass from inside a fairy-ring (the circular stretches of deeper, lush green grass whose material origin is the action of a fungus, but which have a connection with the ethereal life of the fairies). Pluck some marigold flowers from the garden. If you do not have any, the humble bur lovely field-marigold will suffice (commonly called the dandelion), Gather your herbs and flowers from those that grow towards the east; and at Cassiel’s hour steep your posy in the corn oil, again summoning blessings with runes.

Leave it to ripen in the Sun (the jar must be covered or stoppered) for three days; then you may pour out the oil into smaller glass jars, as small as may be. Into each one put seven drops of rose-oil, with seven supplications to the Earth Angel – to help you to see the fairy folk, and stopper well. A light touch of the oil is to be poor on to your eyelids, upon your brow, into the hollow of the throat, on to each finger tip and rubbed into the wrists before proceeding into the wild, It would be well to do this at Cassiel’s hour or Sachiel’s hour, if you conveniently may; and then you must venture out alone to see the fairies, if they be only into your own garden under the early moon, or just at sunrise, noon, or as the evening dew falls.

you can wash your eyes in the pure dew, which some say is the sweat of the stars, that is good; and mark well the Fairy Days, though others may be tried, for the fairies are always with us.

You will find the instruction to prepare the fairy oil with a charm of your own puzzling, use the following invocation to call fairies into the garden. Choose one of the fairy days and times to use it

Fairy host, from the wild

Come and tend this plot awhile;

Come dancing from the hollow hill

To raise the power and do God’s will;

Make your revels in my garden,

May this soil be fairy-trodden!

Each herb and flower,

Set each lovely spirit free!

May all be hung with globes of light

From deepest Elfame, fair and bright.

Fairies, heed this pledge I tell

To honour you and treat you well!

forest and river corridors branching, passages between dunes, fences, hedges and banks of lakes. However, intersections are promising. Fairies are so often nocturnal, these places you should seek a full moon at midnight.

Places where it is easier to get in touch with the fairies, are

natural meadows

Natural forests, especially the middle of the forest

Conspicuous groups of trees (e.g. tree circles)

Old cemeteries

Forest clearings

Wild flower meadows

Banks of natural streams, rivers or lakes

Crests of hills, the tops of the mountains

Gorges in the mountains

Caves and hollow trees

Wild hedges, bushes, undergrowth.

feel the fairies dwell, anywhere were gardens grow wild,

where peace and love is in the hearts of the people, there are fairies happy together.

Bathing

6 ml Musk

2 ml Ylang-Ylang

6 ml Clary Sage,

2 ml of bergamot,

2 ml ylang-ylang

Put the ingredients into a pan with a pleasant temperate water. Lie down 20 minutes into it and relax. After this bath until you ready to absorb the vibrations of the fairies. Bergamot stimulates our solar energy is exhilarating and stimulating. Just the thing to relax and increase the sensitivity.

Fairies communicate in their own way. So if you have the feeling, a fairy is near you, take a bowl of water and a lighted candle. If there is enough liquid wax has formed pour it in a quick motion in the water. There it turns into a figure that contains the message of the fairy. Let your imagination run wild and you will decipher it safe

Fairy Candle Magic

If you want to make a difference, it is often not necessary to recite spells and brewing potions. Often it is enough to relax the mind and to be directed to the whole problem, solve it like that. A burning candle can be very helpful since. The key is the colour of the candle Here are a few tips for choosing the right candle:

White = peace, purity, red = love, passion, Blue = Harmony, Health, Yellow = self-confidence, happiness, Green = career, money, Brown = nature, wisdom

To approach the fairies is the brown candle.

Fairy Encounter powder

1 brown candle,

50g of genuine lavender (dried),

1 pinch of saffron, one teaspoon of sea salt,

a half cup of quartz powder,(you can use a quartz crystal instead you do not have to grind it down or chippings to)

a linen bag

Sit down at midnight under a full moon. outspread ingredients, close your eyes and gather your mind. Then set fire to the candle and say the following words:

“I am ready for all beings near and far.”

Now thoroughly mix ingredients all together and throw a little of the powder on the floor some out the door and out the window.

Fill the rest in the linen bag and carry it with you always.

The fairies will then feel that you are a friend.

Not only are there certain places, where fairies are happy to stay – the fairies also prefer certain times. The time for the fairy world has of course a very different meaning than for us humans. For in the fairy world is not time ordered from and mechanical, as we set our watches.

I believe in Fairies, these Marvellous beings do exist, it is merely that we have lost the art in seeing and communicating with them.In order to develop fairy vision,the first step is to consider is the power of imagination, I do not mean to imply that fairies are imaginary.

it is simply that we have forgotten the tremendous significance of imagination, to really believe, commit to memory the fact that the land of the fairy has always been known to mortals as the land of the living heart.

this teaches us the importance of our heart centre, our Spiritual centre. the poet W B YEATS said that the country of the fairy folk was in the heart of our world. so if you are in touch with your heart you are also in touch with your fairy folk to.

Before you can hope that you are faced with a fairy, you have to open his mind and seek the connection to the Other World That is, you must see the world with a belief in your heart: it is like there is a forest path; bright light at its end, like a lantern. All you have to do is follow and open your heart! to see all the magic that surrounds you.

Clothes to wear

If you want to be aware of the fairies, a few rules you should note: dress yourself in the best Earthy colours, or green to show solidarity with the fairies to yours. It should be soft fabrics and clothes that are comfortable to wear. Avoid strong perfume and heavy make-up. And very important: Wear no iron on you! This metal is preparing the fairies pain. It is impossible for them to touch it.

Start of your day

Start the day without, rushing. Take time to shower, enjoy it, let the water on your skin tingle Sit down with your morning coffee/Tea at the window, look out, drink in small sips, and your take time, savouring the flavour right.
Starting your day like this brings you more open to your environment

Leaving food for them

Especially they like milk. But even with little bits of the dinner they are satisfied or if they were allowed to siphon off a bit of the soup, or a dab of mashed potatoes. They are grateful always, but never give them to much, always remember that they are small.

There is not only supernaturally beautiful fairies, some are rather unsightly. But no matter what they look like, we should treat all of them with courtesy and respect, Never you should scold them, and certainly not one to make fun about it! Beauty is what you see with your eyes, it is always what is inside that counts.

Daydreams

It makes little sense to keep a sharp lookout for fairies. The closer one observes the surroundings, the more chance you have for finding them. A daydreamer has the best chances of the fairies being in front of them suddenly.

Sometimes fairies and elves are just in front of our nose,

you have got to know the signs,

These are signs:

Tremor or a bottomless rustling of leaves, for example, or the feeling of an insect crawling through your hair. Or in the woods there seems to be no wind. You have a feeling of someone watching you, maybe many eyes. All very still, while you walk they are making sure, that you will not harm them or tell others were they live. Only special people are allowed who have goodness of heart.

Fairies maybe very moody and mischievous to To protect yourself from them, you should have plants round the house for example, Lavender,hawthorn, St. John’s, rue, fern, ivy, elderberry or verbena. You may also pin a few branches to the door. It shows the fairies they are welcome around your home, these are their favourite plants that they hold in honour, they will not be moody and mischievous with those plants around.

It is known that children can see easily fairies . This is because they are still not full of prejudices. childlike innocence so if we to forget our prejudices and remember our innocence, we can see them to. You have to really believe, like when you were a child , pretend role play and opening our heart the first step, is to know they are there, remember the joy of discovering new things.

Even fairies can be a joy to behold. You can make a fairy garland of lavender, rue, daisies and clover blossoms for garlands will blow in the wind and hang on the branches of trees such as ash, oak, linden or birch. Wild flowers not cultivated garden flowers, fairies do not like them so much and no protected flowers such as primrose.

Never intentionally torture an animal and even if it is the smallest beetle. Never tear out any plants carelessly, then immediately throw them away. Go carefully with salt and water when scattering around. Use meadows and forest not as a dump. ALWAYS Have Respect! you would not like to Fairies to come and Dump rubbish in your bedroom, would you?

Fairies and elves in the garden

Elves do not like strictly symmetrical gardens. Even flower beds, which were drawn with the ruler. However, they are thrilled by wild flower meadows. Ensures that is for such a little corner in your garden and the chance is great that elves settle there. But there are some tricks to them especially good garden and to make the own:

Fruits of the garden

Fairies and elves who live in the garden, you should never forget that when you harvest fruit and vegetables. The last apple should always be left, the last one-berry or two beans etc. This is a tribute to the fairies. They will then see that you probably want them and in turn react kindly. Try to leave over turned pots around in little corner or in between plants and little shelters for protection from the cold and wind. You think what would you want to leave around. To help them build their home.

From small learning the use of arms to be prepared to defend against any enemy, whether animal or human.

They were especially inviting, is makeup with an herb called “ruan” and berry juice. They had an excellent sense of taste and beauty. They wore ornaments and bells sewn on their clothes to draw attention, care and braided her hair in various ways.

A  holed stone, or holey stone is any rock with a weathered/eroded  hole in it which has been created by nature alone.  The sculpting powers of wind and water create the opening in a stone over a great amount of time and it is believed to carry the wisdom of the ages, having both healing and magical properties. They are considered ‘ good luck’ by many people.

These hard to find stones are considered powerful protection stones that can be worn for personal protection, hung at doorways or windows to protect the home, or even hung near a pet’s sleeping place to protect the pet. Hung by a black ribbon at whichever door is most regularly used in the home it will snag negative vibrations as soon as they enter.

To prevent nightmares, these stones are placed in the sleeping place of the one who wishes to be free of nightmares. When strung with a red string or ribbon and hung over the bed it acts as a shield against bad dreams  much like the Native American dream catcher.

A holey stone may also be used for Full Moon magic by gazing at the moon through the hole and speaking a need to the Gods. It is also said to give one the power of second sight and with a little practice, the ability to see the flitting forms of the fairy folk and Nature spirits.

They are excellent for meditation and creative visualization. For health, crystal healing lore and folklore state that Holey Stones are helpful for healing disease and maintaining general health, particularly when the stone is rubbed on the body of someone sick. They are also said to improve eyesight.

Proper care of holey stones consists of cleansing them in the same manner as most other gemstones, which is usually achieved by soaking them in salt water and recharging them by placing in sun or moonlight.

For years I have torn myself apart, and seen my friends and family doing the same thing. Many of us still Diet! Which only lasts a few days before, we give in to the temptation of real food.

We crave what we cannot have. Because we know we can’t have it, because we are on a Diet! And for me and thousands of others, Dieting  does not work!

We have to find a way to like us for who we really are, focus on the things we like about ourselves instead of punishing ourselves.

Dieting is no  good for you in the long run. We always tend to put the weight we have lost back on again. So tell yourself no dieting this time. I am going to change the way I eat and still enjoy the food I like the best but in smaller quantities . And look within to find a different self image a beautiful one.

When we have gained those extra pounds, we constantly worry about losing them.

This is where our low self esteem kicks in, we then start to tell ourselves that we are fat! And eat more, because we feel badly about ourselves. (Comfort eating) in doing this we then gain more pounds, to had to the seemingly never ending burden.

Some of you will feel this way to, how can we then lose weight? In the media we are constantly bombarded with images of how we should look, how can we compete with that? They all have an average weight of a stick insect! If these women where dirty and dressed in tatty clothes, living in a third world country, we would send them money to buy food and water, because they are starving.

Stop! And think about this for a moment, we all are being brain washed by the media. They are telling us on one hand that this is the way we should be, on the other they are asking us for our help! Same stick insects, two very different scenes both wanting our hard earned money to line their pockets If your partner, best friend etc, were forever telling you, that you need to get rid of some weight; you would tell them to go to have a look in the mirror at themselves. Or words to that effect, now wouldn’t you.

So why are you reading, watching and listening to the media? Are they right? Or is your brain telling you that they are? So you constantly tell yourself, you are good for nothing, until you lose weight! Wrong

I believe the way to lose those extra pounds are though self esteem. This has worked for me and will for you to. By looking deep inside yourself, then ask yourself what are the things you do like about you? What do your friends and family like? Start to like you for who you are, not what you think everybody else wants to see!

Trust in yourself, that you are a beautiful person. Believe it because it is true! You are special in so many ways, to name just a few helpful, compassionate, friendly, honest, reliable and trustworthy. And they are so many more, but I will leave you to find those things out yourself and you will. Because at the moment you are hiding your true self behind and being very unhappy.

self Liking yourself for who you are, will stop you reaching for the comfort food, because you only do that when you are feeling bad about yourself. Try it and see and the pounds you lose, will not line the media pockets, they are just using manipulation, to fool you and others preying on the vulnerable, don’t allow them to win. You can be skinny and depressed too, but they don’t mention that. Self belief is a wonderful thing because with this you can do almost everything, have trust in yourself and you will see.

My advice is free all I ask is that you let me know when you reach your goal; I have every faith in your ability to do so.

The whole of society is motivated from the point of view of the power game.

I am better than you; or you are better than I;

We are each one of us full of power and no one is more powerful than the other. However, some people have gained access their inner power and believe in it, while others believe that they are weak and powerless.

If we accept that people have power over us, it drains our strength away.

In the Native American tradition it is believed that a person is empowered when they are on the right path and following their true purpose in life. To have power we need a vision that is greater than we and which embraces the whole not just ourselves.

The higher our vision the more empowered we become.

Inadequacy does not believe we have the ability to accomplish what is in front of us.

Now ask yourself

1 is it possible I really do have the ability and that my perception of myself is inaccurate?

2 what would I really like to do in my life, short term long term? Set an agenda and draw up a plan.

Everyday spend just 5 minutes visualising yourself achieving your aim. Effective if done just before bedtime

Affirm I am a total success, I am strong, confident and successful person my potential is unlimited. Build a strong self image successful thoughts create a successful life. Make a list of things you are good at. Focus on what you have achieved in life so far.

Low calorie soft drinks or anything low calorie for that matter, those that contain saccharin or aspartame. Drinking one soft drink a day will increase your risk of being obese by 31% when your body consumes artificial sweeteners, your body prepares it self for a large intake of calories but when this does not happen.

Your body starts to demand food by making you feel hungry, you have told it that you are giving it calories by taking the artificial sweeteners now it wants what it was supposed to get.

let us  think about this, its like going down to the shops to buy a box of cornflakes, but when you get back home the box is empty, no cornflakes you then would demand from the shop that you want your cornflakes.

Same as your body wanting the sugar it does not know that it was artificial sweetener only you know that it gives the same sweetness.

What am I really doing here?

What is our purpose, in life?

We now have a desire to know more about ourselves and the world around us, it as not always been this way for many of us or as it?

The Twentieth century has seen many changes, those changes are they for the better of mankind?

More media coverage than ever before, so that we can now see for ourselves what is really going on in our world. We have become to realise that it is not all good. So we try and find ways to improve the things that we see and hear about. It is then that we start to question our own beliefs, our way of life. While some of us are still being the everyday robot that we have become very used to. Work,sleep,eat and if there is any time left play.

Some are saying we have had enough, there must be something else? This is when we start to explore other possibilities. We are all different and what works for one will not work the same for another. You have to find your direction and exploring your inner being is not an easy task, they will be set backs. As I sit and write this I can hear the gentle movement of the waves a simple in and out breath. Is it breathing too?does everything breathe? Water is a great energy source we are also made up of water. We are energy, take a look around you what do you really see?

Even if you are just beginning to notice how different things are within you and around you, you will see many changes. What our eyes have been keeping from us. You only see what you want to see and the rest is always hidden from view, this is how our brain works.

For some of us it takes a breakdown in our life, maybe a marriage break up, loss of a job. You may find that you want to go off on your own a quiet holiday, either for a short or long period of time. This is one of the things I did giving myself time to reflect and self analysis, and all new direction for me. I used to say to the children when you have grown up and left home, I am off on a long journey. I always knew I would. We do not all do that, some can have a gradual change, others something different what ever suits you. But what ever direction you go in, it will be the right one for you. Find you, find your beauty, most of all shine because you really are worth it.

These are the lessons i have learnt,

I had a website on the internet for a couple of years, the visitors well i could count them on my hands, not many at all, people use to say to me get a blog! that will help it to get noticed, i did not listen, why do you need a blog and what would i put in it away.

I should of listened then, but i have now. using a Blog helps you get noticed, people come see your products you can link them to your website to. and best of all when ever you make a new post, it is striaght on the internet search engines. within one hour. i also have a google alert ( simple email set up with google with my website address on, my address is my name) every time i write a post, google send me an alert to say they have found it in the google search engine.
